BRIEF ABOUT DPS, JAGDALPUR

1. Like all other Delhi Public Schools, DPS Jagdalpur follows CBSE syllabus. A synergetic mix of sports, Music, Dramatics and Dance and Computers with academics classes completes the picture of overall growth at DPS Jagdalpur. The Curriculum has been evolved to achieve a balance between the emphasis accorded to academics and the importance of development of the body and the mind.
2. We have two consecutive periods on every Thursday for Activities which are meant for holistic growth and development of students in both Scholastic and Co-scholastic areas, such as -
Activity Games Session.
Public Speaking Session.
Workshop on time Management.
Regular/Games/Activities/Presentation/Questionnaire/Group discussion on life skills.
Smart Creativity workshop.
Donating clothes & Money to Old Age Homes.
Donating clothes & shoes to Blind School Children.
Participated in District/State level Science Exhibition.
Taken Students to educational tour & Excursions Panchmari, Bangalore, Kerala etc.
Joined the Charitable Movement with a “Wall of Kindness” donations miscellaneous useful things & winter clothing.
“One Nation Reading Together Program” developer’s passion for Reading.
Organized Book Fair to develop love towards Reading.
Apart from the above activities, in our school we have conducted/ Organized Inter House Quiz, Chess, Carom, Dance Competitions and Various literary competitions such as Essay Writing Competition (both English/Hindi). Various Art & Craft Competitions like Rakhi making, Decorative Pot making, Tree making, Palm painting etc.
We have conducted Special Assemblies on Various National, International and Special Occasions. We have also celebrated various religious festivals in our school with lots of pomp and show.
Theme based we have celebrated various days such as Blue Day , Red Day, Yellow Day, Umbrella Day etc.
We have organized Book Fair in our school for three consecutive years to develop love for reading among the students.
We have also organized various competitions in our school which are organized by United Schools of India-New Delhi.
